Leisureland Funworld Receives Golden Pony Award For Excellence

6 March 2004 – Around 300 travelling showmen and representatives of amusement parks and FECs from 23 countries around the world gathered together on Friday 27 February, in Rimini, Italy for the assignment of the European Golden Pony © Awards 2003, held during an elegant gala dinner.

Originality of theme, preserving the funfair tradition, successful management and the beauty of the attractions were the main criteria used to identify the 16 European amusements parks winners of the Golden Pony in 2004.

Leisureland Funworld were delighted to receive an award for their Galway based theme park. The citation on the award reads:-

'For creating modern entertainment while remaining faithful to the tradition of the fairground'

This award recognises Perks position at the forefront of the Irish and European Amusement Park industry.

The awards are adjudicated and presented by Facto Edizioni. Founded in Padova, Italy in 1984, Facto Edizioni is a publisher specialising in the leisure sector.
